This was one of my favorite sessions this past year. The location, the light, the wardrobe and this sweet family- everything was perfect! 

When I posted a story on Instagram sharing with my followers that I still had one weekend slot available during the peak week of foliage in Lancaster, Brandy scooped up the session. I tell you this because what are the chances that we would end up choosing a location that had no foliage. I actually tend to be a huge fan of the neutral color palette and tall grassy meadows vs all the bright colors of fall leaves. So when Brandy asked if we could use this spot after seeing another session I had done, I was so excited.  This meadow has been a goto spot this past year and it’s beautiful all year round!  It has some of the most beautiful golden hour light I’ve photographed and thankfully the sun came out for part of our session. 

When choosing outfits for your session, the goal is to always coordinate with each other vs match each other. This family really chose some great looks that coordinated and looked great with the colors of the landscape. I also love all of the textures and prints and how they really compliment each other. Not to mention, the sweet little bouquet that they got from Lancaster Flower Co for some of the portraits of their little girl, such a sweet detail to add something fun to a session.
